Music Store Live is really excited to offer up this Special Edition Takamine TLD M2 acoustic guitar!

The build quality on this is jaw-dropping. Clearly, Takamine put their top luthiers to work on this one. The neck feels simply divine. It's not too chunky at all and makes chords shapes as well as lead lines extremely comfortable. The tonewoods are all very specifically chosen to produce a warm tone with punch and just the right amount of brightness. The sitka spruce top projects loudly with clear and articulate definition to the notes while the Myrtle provides a warm presence to the sound. Add to that a bright-sounding ebony fretboard and you've got a perfectly balanced acoustic guitar.

Manufacturer's Description

Oregon Myrtle is a wonderful, silky-sounding tone wood native to Oregon and Northern California. It has become very popular in the acoustic guitar community over the last decade or so. Highly figured myrtle is a rare commodity, so when Takamine was presented the opportunity to purchase some great sets, they gladly did!

This year they produced 30 TLD M2 Special Edition guitars from this wood, of which 10 have been allocated to the US market. These OM-sized guitars are rare, beautiful, and sweet-sounding guitars that are perfect for a wide variety of players. They are made in Takamine’s pro-shop in Sakashita, Japan, where they have been crafting guitars for over fifty years.
