Player's Perspective

Music Store Live is proud to present this early 1970's Gibson J-50! There is nothing square about this J-50, except for the shoulders. With impeccable playability, this dreadnought delivers fat warm bass with a heavenly mid range. The highs are crisp and sweet and maybe a bit understated. This will provide a perfect tone for your next acoustic recording. We've have ensured that the setup is right on. The neck is straight, the action is set medium / low and the intonation is very good. This is a turn-key vintage dreadnought for the player who values tone and feel above all else.

Overall Condition

This early 1970's  Gibson J-50 is in very good condition. It plays, sounds and performs excellent. The guitar shows signs of regular light use. It has had a few small repairs : a center seam repair and bridge cracks have been filled in. Some of the binding has shrunk just a tiny bit which is very common. There are some light buckle marks and small dings / finish scratches on the body. The neck may need a reset down the road but it's in good condition right now. The frets are in very good condition with plenty of life left on them.

This guitar makes no bones about it's here to do. It delivers sweet Gibson dreadnought tone with ease and plays very very well. This is a killer vintage acoustic to add to the collection.
