Player's Perspective

Music Store Live is proud to present this 2006 Gibson 1963 ES-335 Historic Reissue! If you are looking for the authentic feel and tone of a vintage ES-335 for something slightly lower than the vintage price tag, then this is a terrific option to consider! With vintage 335's from this year ringing in anywhere between $15K to $30K, this is a guitar you can actually consider taking out from behind the glass case and playing every day! We have this 335 set up extremely well right now. The tone is fat and warm with terrific clarity and a just the right amount of brightness to get it to cut through. The neck feels totally classic and plays like a dream. The neck has the proper amount of relief and we've set the action a bit on the lower side. The intonation is all dialed in too. Ready to rock, ready to roll - that's how this will arrive at your door.

Overall Condition

This Gibson 1963 ES-335 Historic Reissue is in very good condition with the exception of a small repaired area on the back of the neck behind the 9th fret. The work was well done. Cosmetically you can barely tell there was a repair except for a slightly darker discoloration and physically you can barely feel it. This repair does not effect the playability or structure of this guitar in any way. It was just a minor finish issue caused by leaning on the foam of a guitar stand. The guitar as a whole shows only light wear with some faint finish scratches and light scuffs ( no more then you could expect to see on some new guitars at a local music store ). The frets are in excellent condition. Feel free to call for an in hand description.

This is a wonderful recreation of a classic that sings like the real deal. The feel, tone and vibe of this guitar are timeless companions to any lover of blues, rock and jazz. This guitar is a lifer.
